Founded in 2004 by Vilelie Khamo in memory of his mother, Lechale Khamo, Coraggio School began with a vision that went beyond simply opening another educational institution. The school first opened its doors at AG Colony with 104 students and a committed team of teachers who shared the dream of creating a nurturing space for young learners. The name “Coraggio,” which means courage in Italian, reflects the heart of that mission: to help young people grow into confident, thoughtful, and purposeful individuals.
Growth
As the community’s trust in the institution grew, so did the school. A significant milestone came in 2019, when Coraggio School moved to its present campus at Lerie Colony, marking a major step forward in its journey. The new campus provided expanded space and improved facilities, enabling students to explore academics alongside arts, sports, leadership activities, and environmental initiatives in a more enriching environment.
Excellence
Affiliated with the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE), the school presented its first HSLC batch in 2013. Since then, Coraggio School has consistently produced strong academic results, including nine state toppers, a reflection of the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and student development.

The Present
Today, as of 2026, Coraggio School is proudly managed under the guidance of the Lechale Khamo Society and serves a thriving student community of 993 learners, comprising 539 boys and 454 girls. Together, we continue our mission of nurturing young minds in a supportive, progressive, and purpose-driven learning environment.
