Lechale Khamo Society, Kohima, Nagaland
The Lechale Khamo Society was established in 2025 and is registered under the Registrar of Societies, Home Department, Nagaland (Reg. No. HOME/SRC-8028) under the Societies Registration (Nagaland Third Amendment) Act, 2008.
The society is named in loving memory of the late mother of its founder, Lechale Khamo, and was founded with the guiding motto,
“Abundance Through Togetherness.”
The Society was formed with the vision of promoting accessibility, education, and the overall improvement of young children in society. Its mission is to provide quality education that is accessible to all, dedicate resources to the growth and development of young people, and support them in becoming responsible contributors to society.
Under its umbrella, the Lechale Khamo Society manages Coraggio School, working to create an environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and personally. The Society is also committed to providing modern infrastructure, updated resources, and opportunities for holistic development, while fostering networks that encourage connection, collaboration, and meaningful relationships.
Future Plans and Mission
Looking ahead, the Lechale Khamo Society envisions expanding Coraggio School into a true haven of learning through the introduction of Higher Secondary sections. By 2027, the Society aims to complete the Senior Block building and transition to the CBSE curriculum, with the registration process already underway.
The plan also includes launching the Higher Secondary Section by 2027, alongside regular capacity-building programmes for both teachers and students. In addition, the school seeks to broaden its co-curricular offerings to further nurture the holistic development of every learner.
Through these initiatives, the Society remains committed to providing quality education that is accessible to all sections of society.
